Item Modification allows you to move a buff from one item to another, or remove a buff completely. In order to move a buff, you will need an empty spot on the item you want to modify, and an item of the same type and class with a white buff you want to transfer. Once you have selected the buff you want to transfer, the cost for the buff transfer changes based on the type and level of the buff. Remember that the material item used will be destroyed.

As you can see, this Durandal 2 has S.KO duration plus, Warrior slayer, KO Effect lvl 3 and KO Crusher.

Buffs and Debuffs power up or weaken your character respectively and can be found on a variety of items and in-game abilities.

For the buffs that have a level after them, the higher the level, the stronger the effect. Buffs of the same type and level can't stack; but buffs of different names or levels can stack. Eg: Attack Lv1 (+120) and Attack Lv2 (+200) would equal +320 to the attack stat, but two identical enchant buffs or two Attack Lv1 buffs would not stack, or if a weapon has both an Ice Enchantment and KO ability, the enemy struck can turn into a snowman or get knocked out, not both.

Item Modification

Item Modification allows you to transfer a buff from one item to another by storing a buff and choosing a different item with an avaliable slot, or remove a buff completely. In order to transfer a buff, the item you wish to attach the buff to will require an empty spot, the buff must be white, and of the same class (Only for class specific buffs, like you cannot put a wind enchant+ on a warrior, but you can take and put attack up on any class). The cost for the buff transfer changes based on the type and level. Storing or Erasing multiple buffs increases the price for each buff being added. Remember that the material item used will be destroyed unless you use a pincer, so think carefully before transferring any buffs into another item.

Erasing a buff using (Erase a buff) will NOT destroy your item, but using (Store a Buff) WILL destroy your target item that you wish to take buffs from. You can prevent your item from being destroyed by using a Buff Pincer from the item shop, they cost tickets however. There is a free pincer from co-op rewards for 250000 Co-op points. Buff erasing/storing can cost anywhere from 400 to 3000 Happy Stars per buff. Buffs that are in orange are permanent, and therefore cannot be removed.

An alternative payment is using Happy Tickets, rather than Happy Stars.

General Buff types

Skill+

Skill+ buffs give the equipped player that skill from the beginning of the match, like Rush+. Skill+ buffs available to an equipment type are tied to the button that the skill corresponds to. Weapons have A skills, Armor gets Y skills, and Headgear gets B skills. Items cannot have more than one Skill+ Buff (like Rush+ and Smash+). If the weapon, armor, and headgear all have Skill+ buffs, the player can learn a total of 9 skills.[1]

Skill Modifiers

These buffs are a more recent addition to the game. They have a range of effects that vary from increasing effect radius (Wide Dispel, etc.), increasing skill duration, as well as shortening warmup time.

Special Buffs

Special buffs work outside in combat, and can be found on any item on any class, with the exception of statues. Their role improves the player's equipment.

Debuffs

There are also debuffs in purple. They have opposite effect of their buff counterparts making them bad for battle. As a rule of thumb try to avoid wearing items with Debuffs on them.

Construction Speed Up

Increases construction speed for towers, ballistas, ladders, cannons, and rams. Also, deconstruct enemy's towers faster. Having at least one of this buff on the weapon(s) transforms the players wooden hammer into a 24k Golden Hammer.

Smash Power Up

Enemies are sent flying even further during smash attacks. 

Smash, Rush, Charged Attacks, Wind Traps, Lightning Strikes, Bomb Rocks, Meteor Shower, Napalm, Cannon hits, Bird Tower blasts, Uppercut Attack, and Smash Effect.
Fast Attack Boosts up the normal attack speed.

The S. (Super) version of this buff adds (+120) attack onto your weapon. It does NOT speed up attacks past the normal fast attack speed.

Fast Smash Shortens the delay for launching a “Smash” skill.
Hyper Enchant Attack Increases the power of the "Super Enchant Attack" performed when pressing X and RT together. (Warriors and Clerics only).
Hyper Magic Shot Increases the power of the Mage's "Super Magic Shot" performed when pressing A and RT together, but consumes more AP. (Mages only).

Dash Attack Power-Up

Increases damage for Dash attack. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases damage further.

Increases damage for Rapid Stab attack. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases damage further.

Effects
KO Effect

Moderate chance of knocking out enemies during normal or guard attacks.

KO Duration Plus Increases the Duration that enemies are KO'ed. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the duration further.
Smash Effect

Moderate chance of sending enemies flying during normal or guard attacks. Enemies that are guarding with a shield will be staggered.

Stun Effect

Moderate chance of stunning enemy during normal or guard attacks.

Fire Enchant Effect

Fire Enchant effect is added to weapon. Increasing physical damage to foes. Slight chance of burning foes, causing them to move in hectic chaos. Applying to a Mage weapon increase the strength and size of fireballs. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect returns in 15 seconds.

Ice Enchant Effect

Ice Enchant effect is added to weapon. Slight chance of turning a foe into a snowman, which is the equivalent of a KO effect attack. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect returns in 15 seconds.

Lightning Enchant Effect

Lightning Enchant effect is added to weapon. Slight chance of electrifying foes, causing them to move slowly. Electrified opponents have several blue lightning spikes surrounding the body. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect return in 15 seconds.

Wind Enchant Effect

Wind Enchant effect is added to weapon. Staggers foes when hit. If Dispelled, or used Super Enchant Attack (Warrior & Cleric only) effect returns in 15 seconds.

KO Crusher

Attacking a knocked-out foe deals 2.0x damage. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the damage further.

Freeze Crusher

Attacking a frozen foe deals 2.0x damage. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the damage further.

Attacking a shocked foe deals 2.0x damage. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the damage further.

Class Slayers
Warrior Slayer

Multiplies damage by 1.4x for all attacks against Warrior types. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the amount of damage dealt to warriors (the current amount is unknown).

Cleric Slayer

Multiplies damage by 1.4x for all attacks against Cleric types. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the amount of damage dealt to clerics (the current amount is unknown).

Mage Slayer

Multiplies damage by 1.4x for all attacks against Mage types. The S. (Super) version of this buff increases the amount of damage dealt to mages (the current amount is unknown).

Monster Slayer Increases damage done to Co-op bosses. This buff is only avaliable through happy cards and only when there's a boss mission.
